I could never do that I have too much pride. AI is a tool, to not use it is to be like rejecting the automobile at the turn of the century, but I don't trust it to auto drive. If my car makes any mistakes I want it to be because I was driving.

You see, I'm very personalable in person. I was a ballroom dance instructor for many years. I'm nice to everyone I meet in person, I'm a southern gentleman and I can't help but smile and speak to anyone who passes by me. In the south you can't even walk down the road without waving at everybody because if the driver doesn't at least give a finger lift from the steering wheel back you look like a total jerk.

However, I've been on the internet since I was 5 years old in the mid '90s. I can be a little brash/cynical online, AI is like a translation device for people who suffer from the inability to be nice online.

It's one of the reasons I quit Twitter/X recently, I was there posting my video game articles from my publication, but I would always get sucked into some stupid argument. I'm trying to move away from that problem. AI helps me do that. It says what I really mean to say. But I never just say write an article over X. There's at least 100 articles in your thoughts everyday. A young woman just complimented me today.

I was sitting at the bar at a Thai restaurant eating by myself. She said I really like your thing there that fabric thing. She was referring to my poncho. I proceeded to tell her about the benefits of a poncho for the next 3 minutes. Guess what went on my four winds whiteboard when I got home? "Why the poncho?"

There's no definitive proof if someone used AI or not. Chat GPT zero is not always perfect. In fact it's causing more problems in young people's academic life than any benefit it is giving to society. Teachers are grading papers with AI, students are writing them with AI. At the end of the day even if the student wrote the paper with AI you know they had to check it. Even if it just meant making it sound like them. They still learn something and that's the ultimate goal of education.

At the end of the day if you hadn't thought of the article and used AI to help you it would have never have come to fruition and no one would have ever learned anything about that fleeting thought you had in your head that day.
